The virus caused the death of 700 people in Congo and proceeds to cause great devastation.

The African countries have again be struck by the death-causing virus named Ebola which had first struck the continent in 1976. The virus had previously struck the continent in 2 total waves in Congo and Sudan; but this time around the virus has come more prominent causing damage to the human population and the animal population as well. The virus is zoonotic in nature which refers to the fact that the virus origins from infected animals especially the Fruit bats that are local to the region which then spread to apes and other animal through shared vegetation. Later this virus spread to human that had consumed the wild infected animals’ meat.

Currently, the virus is prominent in the areas of Congo and Uganda provinces. The health workers had reported an emergency in 17th of May and noted around 1,900 infected cases and the death of around 700 people till date. Experts claim that if the virus spreads to more urban areas, the impact would be even more devastating as it would unstoppable.

The virus is a whole family of viruses that consists of various forms of symptoms and effects, however medication of most of these is found previously, however this time around the virus is stronger and the medication to fully cure it is still not found.

The good news is that the University of Oxford, under the leadership of Dr. Katrina Pollock have claimed that the scientists are under early process of forming the vaccine and testing it on the virus samples. Amidst all this chaos, The US has advised all his citizens present in Congo province to stay there and not return to America under any conditions as the virus might spread to America.
